Policy, Organisation and Rules

(i) promoting the Vision, Mission, and Values and Aims of the Association in the Region;
(ii) encouraging and facilitating the programme and training of Youth Members and Scouters in the Region according to the Aim, Mission and Method of Scouting;
(iii) upholding and enforcing the Association's Policies, Rules and Regulations in the Region;
(iv) implementing the directions of the Chief Commissioner and decisions of the Executive Committee of the Scout Council of the Association;
(v) recruiting, developing, and appraising the performance of Commissioners, Scouters and Lay Members in the Scout Region;
(vi) promoting the organisation and effective functioning of the Regional Scout Council and the Regional Executive Committee;
(vii) maintaining and improving the quality of Scouting in the Scout Groups through regular visits by the Regional Staff;
(viii) ensuring harmonious co-operation of all Members in the Region and settling disputes between them;
(ix) maintaining good relationship with all bodies whose work is relevant to Scouting and ensuring that the Association's interests are represented and protected;
(x) ensuring safety in all Scouting activities and requiring strict observance of all safety precautions and rules;
(xi) nominating the Regional President and the Regional Chairman under 4.6.1(a);
(xii) sitting as Ex officio Member of the Executive Committee and Scout Council of the Association, the Chief Commissioner's Council, and all Councils, Committees and Sub-Committees within the Region;
(xiii) seeking adequate funding and other resources to support Scouting in the Region;
(xiv) filing of Annual Census and remitting to the Association Headquarters of Subscriptions of the Members if required of his Region;
(xv) making appropriate recommendations for awards for Members in the Region; and
(xvi) performing such other duties as the responsible Deputy Chief Commissioner or Chief Commissioner may assign generally and/or specifically from time to time.
