Rule 2.8.1 |
The Group President The Group President if appointed is to preside the Group Annual General Meeting and to encourage the development of the Scout Group and to ensure that it can meet its financial requirements. This is an honorary appointment and the appointee does not carry administrative duties in the Scout Group. The Scout Group may elect not to appoint a Group President in which case the Group President's responsibilities shall fall on the Group Chairman. |
Rule 2.8.2 |
The Group Chairman The Group Chairman is appointed to work closely with the Group Scout Leader in the administration of the Group with the objective of creating the best possible environment and facilities for the training and youth programme in the Group. In the absence of the Group President acts as the Chairman of the Annual General Meeting of the Group Council. |
Rule 2.8.3 |
The Group Secretary The Group Secretary is appointed to: (a) act as Secretary of the Group Council; (b) keep such records concerning the administration and training in the Group as the Group Scout Leader or the Group Chairman may direct. |
Rule 2.8.4 |
The Group Treasurer The Group Treasurer is appointed to: (a) advise the Group Council on all financial matters; (b) prepare, in consultation with the Group Scout Leader, an annual budget for approval by the Group Council; (c) table at each Group Council meeting a statement of accounts showing accurately the latest financial position of the Group; (d) collect the Association Membership Subscription from all Members of the Group who are liable for this payment and to remit the total sum to the Association if so directed; (e) receive all monies on behalf of the Group and all its Sectional Units and keep account of all funds; (f) pay out expenditures as authorized by the Group; (g) open such bank accounts as may be necessary in the name of the Group; (h) ensure that funds allotted to the Group and all its Sectional Units are properly accounted for; (i) supervise the administration of Group property and equipment and ensure that proper inventories are maintained and proper insurance is arranged. |
