“Scout of the Year” Selection

"Scout of the Year" Selection was first held in 1987. It aims at giving formal recognition to the Scout members who have made prominent achievements in different areas as youth members. The awardees set an example to their peers and the recognition lets the public aware of their fine character. The awardees will have an opportunity to participate in promotional activities and exchange programmes to broaden their horizons.

From 1987 to 2021, a total of 202 Scout members were awarded the "Scout of the Year".

The Scout of the Year Association was established on 20 March 2010 which aims at providing an opportunity for all current and past Scouts of the Years to connect with one another and the Association to keep contributing to the Hong Kong Scout Movement and society. The chairperson and vice-chairperson of the 11th Executive Committee are LI Hoi-kuen (Scout of the Year 2014) and SZETO Cheuk-nok (Scout of the Year 2014) respectively.
